Welcome to the homepage of the NetSys (Networked Systems) lab at Stony Brook University. Our lab works on problems in the intersection of networking and systems, with a current focus on smartphones and wearable devices.

  • August 2017: Yi presented a poster on rethinking TCP throughput, and Mallesh and Conor presented a poster on hardware bottlenecks in Web browsing  at Sigcomm 2017

  • June 2017: The Girls Who Code club that Aruna facilitated at the Comsewogue Library celebrated a successful year. News story here

  • June 2017: It is internship time. Jian-->Samsung Research, Conor-->ICSI, Qingqing-->Bell Labs

  • May 2017: MobiRNN paper accepted at EMDL workshop colocated with MobiSys 2017.

  • February 2017: An article about PrIA appeared in the MIT Technology Review, was featured in the Stony Brook News (starts at 5.13), and Publico's technology newsletter (in Portuguese). 

  • January 2017: A position paper on PrIA (Private Intelligent Assistant) is accepted at HotMobile 2017.

  • Dec 2016: WebGaze paper accepted at NSDI. Congratulations to Conor Kelton and Jihoon Ryoo.

  • December 2016: ReCON work on modeling energy consumption of mobile browsers accepted for publication at Sigmetrics 2017. Congratulations to Yi and Javad!

  • August 2016: Aruna is facilitating the Girls Who Code club at the Comsewogue Library in Port Jefferson Station.
